Ibai was born in Bilbao in 1995. During his adolescence he was a normal kid, he was sportive (he used to play football and basketball), but at the same time he was shy. Most of his friends came from the world of gaming. He felt confidence playing games and one day he decided to open a Twitch channel with his friends. In these streamings he commented the games as a football match in the radio (he said that his reference has always being Paco Gonzalez).
It was in 2014 (with only 19 years old) that he entered in the casting world. In august of that year he narrated his first “League of Legends” game in the “Liga de Videojuegos”. And in just one year, he started to cast the “EU LCS”. He did all this work online, because he lives in Bilbao and the tournament was in Barcelona.
In 2016 he decided to take a full-time job as a caster, and he moved to Barcelona. This was a big step for him, because he moved to a bigger city, and leaved all his family in Bilbao; without knowing if this was a good plan, but finally, risking, he achieved purpose. After casting for the LVP, in 2019 he started to present a late-night for U-Beat. There he mixed with people from the casting world such as Bruno Feliu.
While he was working on this, he continued with his social networks, creating content in every social media, mostly in Twitch and Twitter. In Twitch he continued casting everything (he casted from marble races to food channels in YouTube). In Twitter he felt comfort and was himself, giving to the audience a friendly character to have in the screen. With this, he started to become more a more famous (this also caused a lot of problems, as he said in his documental, and he had to go to a psychologist because of his anxiety).
After this, in the present year, he decided to leave the Esports world (that was the principal problem of his anxiety), and thanks to the popularity he earned in Twitter and in the casting world, now is dedicated to create content in the different platforms, coming back to the beginnings with Twitch, but without leaving the casting world, and commenting again every type of videos. Nowadays Ibai has 2´78M subscribers on YouTube, 2´2M on Twitter, 2´6M on Twitch and 1´8M on Instagram.
I think that Ibai has opened the mind for the Spanish speakers, to the Esports business. He became the most popular face of the Esports, and millions of people started to watch this discipline thanks to Ibai.
