Jay "Sinatraa" Wong-The Goat.

From being one of the most skillful players but also considered the most toxic, to the greatest Overwatch player of all time...

Jay Wong, also known as "Sinatraa", was born in Shoreline, Washington. At the age of 14 he was introduced to the competitive scene of videogames by CS: GO but he never wants pro. In 2016, his life would change forever. Blizzard Entertainment released Overwatch, the game that would turn Jay into a superstar.

Sinatraa started playing since day 1 and he was insane at the game. When Overwatch released its competitive mode, Jay was already between the best of the game and he even got to the top 1 in the ladder in season 2 of competitive. Also during this period Sinatraa was signed by Selfless Gaming and moved from Washington to Atlanta to dedicate his whole time to professional gaming. During this period, he never won a big tournament but everyone in the community considered him one of the best. Sinatraa was known for his aggressive playstyle, especially in his two signature heroes: Tracer and Zarya.

In 2017, he was called to participate in the Team USA during the World Cup. His performance was unbelievable but it wasn't enough because Team USA faced against Team South Korea who was the current champions. This was the first time that Sinatraa played against South Korean players and although he knew that the level of eastern players was above from the western ones, he didn't expect the huge difference of level. Sinatraa was really disappointed and he even blamed himself for the unfortunate result.

The next year would be an important one for Sinatraa. The Overwatch League was around the corner. Sinatraa signed with the San Francisco Shock. Unfortunately, he was unavailable because of his age, the minimum age required was 18 years old. After three months from the start of the competition. In march first Sinatraa made his day view and for a lot of people was disappointing. The San Francisco Shock rookie struggled to compete against the best tracer players in the league. San Francisco Shock ended in 10th place in the overall standings.

After the first season of the Overwatch League ended, he was summoned for Team USA again. The USA demolished every team they faced in the playoffs and Sinatraa was looking great, especially because he was playing two of their signature heroes: Doomfist and Genji. But this all changed in the quarterfinals where the meta changed drastically. The metagame was 3-3 (3 tanks and 3 supports) who were: Reinhardt, DVA, Zarya, Lucio, Brigitte, and Zenyatta. Although Jay was well known for his insane Zarya play, the 3-3 meta demanded a more precise and teamwork-based playstyle and Sinatraa couldn't adapt to that.

The second season of the Overwatch League started in 2019 and new teams and new players incorporated into it. Sinatraa stayed in the San Francisco Shock and all eyes were on him to be the superstar of the team. Some players were added to the Californian team, such as Striker, Rascal, and Smurf. His team was expected to be one of the tops in the league, and it didn't disappoint. The Shock crushed their opponents and Sinatraa was a great factor for their success. Jay's Zarya was insanely clutch, he was able to turn fights that were losable. In stage 4 everything changed because of the introduction of the 2-2-2 role lock system. Sinatraa didn't play too much during this stage due to his hero pool. Fortunately for him, in the playoffs, the meta shifted to a double shield playstyle with the introduction of the new character: Sigma. The young superstar was again able to shine because of his great Doomfist gameplay which gave the San Francisco Shock the championship by defeating the Vancouver Titans in the Grand Finals. Also, Sinatraa was awarded the MVP trophy.

Now, Jay has retired from Overwatch and started to pursue a career in professional Valorant. He has stated that Overwatch isn't the same that before, but he will still be supporting the San Francisco Shock. I hope that Sinatraa becomes successful in this new game and can make the same plays that he used to make.
